Joci Scott
Actor / Singer / Dancer
About Me
Joci Scott is an actress, singer, dancer, and content creator based in Los Angeles. She became paralyzed at 20 years old by sustaining a T12 spinal cord injury when her family survived a plane crash, and has adjusted to life in a wheelchair. Despite not seeing people using wheelchairs in her favorite movies and TV shows, Joci was determined to keep following her dreams. In addition to being an auditioning actor, she is a passionate advocate for disability representation in entertainment. She joined the Rollettes dance team in 2021, whose mission is empowering women through dance and community. In 2022, she married her high school sweetheart and accomplished her goal of walking down the aisle using orthotic leg braces. Joci starred in cringey dating-app comedy “Smash or Pass” written for the 2023 Easterseals Disability Film Challenge, was nominated for the "Best Actor" award, and travelled to Park City when the film screened at Slamdance this past January. Most recently, she executive produced, wrote, and starred in "Body Swap" for the 2024 Disability Film Challenge, a modern take on a classic comedy story.
